The Sunset Homes Invitational Football Tournament held on the weekend of May 7 - 8, 2005 was a great success. An active audience cheered and sighed as the teams battled to get the upperhand. Bath United of Nevis won the Championship, with Anguilla's Spartans International capturing 2nd place, followed by BVI's Valencia United and the Roaring Lions of Anguilla.

The fifty plus children (ages 5 - 13 years old) who attend the Sunset Homes -Roaring Lions Youth Training Program were enthused as they participated in various aspects of the tournament. They lined up and processed in the Opening Ceremony in full uniform and took turns in being ball boys and ball girls during the tournament. The children also played their own impromptu football games at the edge of the field, with just as competitive a spirit and a bit more frolic, than their senior football colleagues. This exposure has gone a long way in creating awareness among the children about the playing and officiating of regional football tournaments.
